Aaron Ferguson’s passion has always been carpentry. It’s a craft he learned ‘on-the-job’ working for his Father’s landscaping company. He was so dedicated, even after graduating university with a Kinesiology degree, he came back to carpentry. That was over 20 years ago.
An Entrepreneurial Spirit Takes Flight
Following his Dad’s example, Aaron decided to head out on his own, launching Evergreen Carpentry in 2000. The first contract was to install cabinets for a general contractor. Word soon spread about Aaron’s work ethic; he met other GCs; and his service offering expanded to interior trim, framing and siding. All made of real wood and built by hand.
A Reputation for Quality
By 2005, Aaron needed to hire full-time employees to help him deliver his services to an ever expanding list of satisfied clients. His reputation attracted designers and builders of higher-end homes from across Toronto, the GTA and York Region.
The Pre-Assembly Advantage
Sometimes, when you learn something from the ground up, you discover things that no amount of education can teach you. After seeing the difference between how trim and siding are installed in subdivisions, versus how custom work is done, Aaron realized the best option is to bring together the best of both worlds.
The result is a process that’s unique to Evergreen Carpentry. Pre-assembling interior trim in a controlled environment, instead of on a working job site, allows Evergreen to offer higher quality and faster installations than the competition.
